U.S. Senior Open Practice Rounds
The U.S. Senior Open is the ultimate “cherry on top” for any golfer’s career. After decades filled with Ryder Cup victories, green jackets and U.S. Open wins, the grand finale for a senior golfer is hoisting the Francis D. Ouimet Memorial Trophy as the U.S. Senior Open Champion.
Fred Couples, Tom Watson, John Daly and 153 other professional and amateurs will be vying for the title of National Champion next June at Salem Country Club. Even though a Champion will be crowned on Sunday, there’s more action packed golf than a typical tournament.
Monday, June 26 – Wednesday June 28, participants have the opportunity to play the course during the Championship Practice Rounds. Most players have never seen the Donald Ross designed course or experienced the new greens complexes from last fall’s renovation and will eagerly take advantage of extra playing time. With registered tee times starting in the morning and continuing throughout the day, this is a prime opportunity to see legends of the game up close.
“It’s your chance to interact with [the players] during the Practice Rounds,” said 2017 U.S. Senior Open Executive Director, Eddie Carbone. “They interact a lot more with the fans than any other athletes I have ever seen in any sport, during the Championship but especially during the Practice Rounds.”
Be inspired by Bernard Langer, Rocco Mediate and Colin Montgomerie during the U.S. Senior Open Practice Rounds. Tickets for the U.S. Senior Open start at $25 per day.
